From 2017 to 2018, the School of Statistics had 14 overseas exchange students, including 6 short-term overseas exchange students and 8 long-term overseas exchange students (overseas study semester or above). Two of the students were successfully approved as excellent undergraduate programs and awarded scholarships by the China Scholarship Council.

In 2017-2018, the School of Statistics successfully recommended three undergraduates to pursue doctoral degrees directly in famous universities in the United States and Hong Kong to further improve the international education level of the School of Statistics.

 (3) Overseas students in China are beginning to take shape

From 2016 to 2019, six foreign students have been admitted to our school. Among them, five were studying for a doctorate in statistics and one was studying for a master’s degree in statistics.

 (4) Actively promote various forms of cooperation with internationally renowned universities

On the one hand, the school actively absorbs and draws lessons from the educational concepts, teaching methods, teaching management models and evaluation methods of world-class universities. In terms of talent training program and curriculum setting, etc., the school draws lessons from their excellent practices and constantly promotes the reform of talent training mode.

On the other hand, through various channels, the school has been continuously exploring high-quality cooperative education programs, and has completed the signing and course credit exchange certification of the undergraduate programs: “Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics - Towson University double degree joint program of economic statistics and actuarial science”. In July 2017, the School of Statistics launched the summer exchange program of Towson University. Seven students participated in the exchange program. Several joint master’s and doctoral programs are under discussion in the United States and Europe.
